Our New Bathroom Amenities from Beekman 1802

We upgraded our Bathroom Amenities to offer an even better experience to our guests. We went looking for a clean, fresh, natural feeling for our soap, body wash and lotion;  and also an effective shampoo and conditioner. After testing numerous products from different brands, we decided on the Fresh Air line from Beekman 1802, which makes farm-healthy beauty, food, home and garden products.  They pride themselves in making the products with clean ingredients and simple science.  They are committed to keeping the products clean, safe, and always cruelty-free. As so are we.

Josh Kilmer-Purcell and Brent Ridge, partners in business and life, own the brand Beekman 1802. They bought the Beekman 1802 estate and farm, in Sharon Springs, NY, in 2007 and shortly after moving in, they received a letter from John Hall (also known as “Farmer John”), a nearby farmer looking for a new home for his herd of 80 goats. “We had a big, empty barn and a small house that was empty,” Kilmer-Purcell says. “We said, ‘Sure! Come on over.’   They were interested in the properties of goat milk, and they found out that has the same pH as human skin and is generally gentle, soothing, and hydrating. In 2008, they started to make soaps with the goat milk…and still today all of their  products incorporate goat’s milk in some way.  The line is unisex, contains no added fragrance….and the soap’s lather is so foamy…a true treat..
